  1. What Happened to Anne Frank?

  2. Your Task • In groups of 3, create a timeline of events of what happens to the family after the play ends. You can do this in Notability or Pages. • Go to www.annefrank.org • Read about what happened to the family after they were caught. • Click on the “Anne Frank” tab. Start reading “The Arrest” tab and onwards. • You must have a minimum of 7 events and they must be in complete sentences! • You can also use the textbook. “A Tragedy Revealed” starting on page 445.

  3. August 4, 1944 The Family is discovered. They must turn over their valuable and pack their bags. They are taken to the police station. Underneath your timeline – write a couple sentences about who betrayed the family and caused them to be caught.

Activity • Read the interview with Miep. • You can look through the different sections and read about what interest you. • So…you don’t have to start with “Hiding the Franks.” You can skip ahead to “After the War” if that’s interesting to you. • Underneath your timeline, write down at least 3 facts that you found interesting about Anne Frank, her family, situation, etc. • Submit both assignments to nbiels@mypanthers.org.
