Internship Facts • Two tracks available • Two term sequence • First term in the classroom, second term online • Offers preparation and help in finding an internship and well as professional development, reflection, and assessment • One term option • Available to students who have found their own internship • Offers professional development and reflection and assessment in a totally online course • Junior status preferred (late Sophomore is okay)

  3. Internship Facts • Open to students in any major who are not required to co-op or participate in a specific departmental internship • No GPA requirement • Work 10-30 hours per week on an internship • Take classes at the same time • Earn academic credit • 6+ credit hours

  4. Participating Companies • Over 200 companies and organizations, including… • Cincinnati Museum Center • Procter & Gamble • Salvation Army • Cincinnati Bell …Both for profit and not-for-profit, paid and unpaid opportunities

  5. How Will You Benefit? • Learn more about your field of interest through observation and direct participation in a job setting • Establish future employment connections • Build on the skills learned in the classroom • Build your resume work experience

  6. How Do You Get Started? • 2 term sequence • Sign up for 36-PD-280 or 300 (Exploration of Academic Internships) • This course is designed to help you prepare for and secure work for an internship • You should take it in the term immediately preceding the term in which you want to intern • 1 term course (if you’ve secured an internship on your own) • Speak with a Manager of Academic Internships
