  5. Answers • Crust • Earthquake seismic waves do not go through. • Magnetosphere

  7. Mid-Ocean Ridges • Where the crust is pulled apart, allowing magma to rise in the crack further pushing the “plates apart”

  8. Convergent plate boundaries • When crustal plates come together. • Density forces one plate to subduct or sink below the other. • The sinking plate melts and magma rises which creates a volcano.

  9. Hot Spots • These are spots where magma rises to the surface and creates volcanoes and mountains. • Hawaii is the most famous. • Yellowstone hotspot!
