  2. Groupe adjectival = groupe de l’adjectif = GAdj • Le noyau d’un groupe adjectival est un adjectif. • Le groupe adjectival peut contenir une ou des expansions.

  3. L’expansion dans un GAdj peut être: • Un adverbe (ex.: très gentil) • Un groupe prépositionnel (ex.: fier de moi) Attention! Un nom seul ne peut pas être une expansion dans le GAdj.

  4. Un GAdj qui ne contient aucune expansion, qui ne contient donc que son noyau est appelé groupe adjectival minimal. • Un GAdj qui contient une ou plusieurs expansions est appelé groupe adjectival étendu.

  5. Si l’expansion est placée AVANT l’adjectif, sa fonction est MODIFICATEUR DE L’ADJECTIF. Exemple: très gentil très est modificateur de l’adjectif gentil.

  6. Si l’expansion est placée APRÈS l’adjectif, sa fonction est COMPLÉMENT DE L’ADJECTIF. Exemple: fier de moi de moi est complément de l’adjectif fier.

  7. Fonctions du GAdj • Si le GAdj accompagne un nom, sa fonction est COMPLÉMENT DU NOM. Exemple: C’est une jolie robe. jolie est complément du nom robe.

  8. Si le GAdj est placé après un verbe attributif, sa fonction est ATTRIBUT DU SUJET. Exemple: Cette robe est jolie. jolie est attribut du sujet robe.
