In this engaging STEM challenge, students are tasked with designing a device to recover coins and keys that have fallen into the sand below while remaining on the boardwalk. With their materials, including cardboard tubes, magnets, and pails, teams must utilize their understanding of magnetism and mixture separation to create an effective retrieval solution while also adhering to environmental considerations by not disturbing the sand dunes. Collaborate, innovate, and demonstrate your engineering skills!
