This study investigates the effects of ShcC knockdown on ERK1/2 activation in NH12 and YT-nu neuroblastoma cells. The research employs RNA interference to downregulate ShcC and examines the subsequent activation levels of ERK1/2. Notably, an elevation in activated ERK was observed in both NH12 and YT-nu cell lines post-knockdown. The analyses confirm that the involvement of ShcC is significant in regulating ERK1/2 signaling pathways in neuroblastoma cells, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for treatment.

Activation of Erk was examined in the cells other than TNB-1 cells which expresses ShcC. In NH-12 cells and YT-nu cells, elevation in the levels of activated Erk was recognized following downregulation of ShcC.
