  16. 7.Regional Initiatives LWIA 1 Career Center Business Development Services Strategy Partners include: ECD-IllifMcMah CC Consortium – Teresa Broome, Gracene Hensley, Kathy Pierce TDOLWD & CC Managers - Jack Greene, Steve Vinsant VR & CLEE – Teresa Smith WIA BDS Specialist – Chad Riner TDOLWD Employer Service Specialist – C.Ann Chapman LVER – Diana Tarlton All partners should promote the Career Center services including the Job Order process. If ECD Rep/Chamber/Individual Employer/etc. provides information of hiring opportunities to any member of the Business Development Services (BDS) Team, that member will notify designated partners. Employer posts Job Order on JOBS4TN Online website. BDS Team coordinates next step processes to ensure efficiency & effectiveness of the Team members. Job Order in system – Employment Security (ES) receives & reviews the Job Order and enables the Employer. Veteran Preference will apply. WIA BDS staff accesses the job openings in the job order system to identify potential employers to contact regarding OJT. BDS will contact and coordinate the CC Manager. BDS Team will meet with the employer. Meeting results will be communicated back to Career Center Managers and related partners. BDS staff will contact Employer Service Specialists & DRS Corporate Connections Program to notify them that BDS Team members will be contacting employer to market the Career Center and OJT. BDS staff will provide follow-up information to all BDS Team Members, including CC Consortium & Managers. BDS staff complete a monthly list of current WIA OJTs and distribute to the TDOLWD Career Center Consortium Team & Managers.

TN Works Act On-the-Job Training • To encourage economic recovery and to promote employment opportunities for dislocated workers • Available from Tennessee's Rapid Response allocation to address critical • Awarded $99,334.00 to connect forty (40) eligible dislocated workers with employers. • To date, 22 participants are enrolled in LWIA 1 under Tennessee Works Act and are placed on OJT’s in companies in the area
