  3. Mobility 1sensitization training with reference to migration, racism, discrimination, culture and diversity with strategies for teaching these issues to diverse age groups Eirini Marmatsouri

  4. Course Objective The mobility intended to educate participants in the sensitization regarding migration, racism, discrimination, culture and diversity providing strategies for teaching the various issues to different age groups. The long-term aim was to create a learning environment without exclusions. Moreover, the topics of migration, prejudice, racism etc. were discussed in order to develop reaction strategies to any racist or discriminating behavior.

  5. Activities /tasks carried out Participants engage in active tasks and discussions carrying out exemplar activities which can be used with their students and staff. They are introduced to related concepts such as status ordering, class atmosphere, co operative learning and guided to where and how such methods can be employed with class groups. Concepts such as by standing and advised reactions, everyday racism, stereotypes and the role of prejudice are discussed as are issues surrounding migration and support for others including how to prepare learners for diverse communities, workplaces etc.

  6. Job related skills Resources, tools and deconstruction of attitudes that may be held are both relevant in terms of reflective practitioners and how to introduce and/or improve work around anti racism in the classroom and beyond. Methodologies which weave these stances and ideas into the classroom together with academic content are discussed and practiced to enable participants to employ these in their future practice and become agents of change in reducing discrimination and the promotion of an inclusive classroom and school

  7. Language skills The course language is English so throughout practice in this is undertaken.

  8. Other skills • Computer skills: Only generic computer skills are featured in this course in terms of emailing, online communication and for some the option of presenting via IT. Computer skills are not a feature of the course. • Organizational/managerial skills: Preparing for presentations includes a range of organizational skills. • Communication skills: Participants will communicate in a range of methods with a diverse group speaking a range of mother languages and using English as the language of the course. A range of sensitive topics are addressed thus the requirement is to be able to listen, accept and respond with care is practiced

  10. Course Objective The course aims to offer the opportunity to reflect about oneself as a teacher. It helps teachers acquire a certain level of self awareness about their role, their approach to teaching and their being part of a bigger team, in order to prevent stress and promote a healthy work life balance satisfaction and effectiveness.

  11. Activities /tasks carried out MONDAY Being Teacher: are you the teacher you want to be? Swot analysis for teachers. Emotions regulation. Individual and group exercises TUESDAY Being Teacher: work life balance is possible! Happiness and flow. The healthy mind platter. Introduction to mindfulness. Time management strategies. WEDNESDAY Teachers issues presentation and discussion. Assertivity in and out of the classroom: how can we communicate our emotions and opinions in a constructive way. Role playing THURSDAY Teachers issues presentation and discussion. Stress prevention: tips and tools for happier teacher. FRIDAY Teaching environment: how to cope with overwork and improve effective communication with colleagues, students and their families. SATURDAY Sharing the experience once back home. conclusions, discussion course evaluation and certificate

Job related skills • Become self-aware of your role as a teacher and what it means to be part of a bigger team. • Promote work-life balance, satisfaction and effectiveness in order to prevent stress in the workplace. • Set healthy boundaries to cope with being overworked, such as fully disconnecting once the day in the classroom is over. • Reflect and refresh your approach to teaching, while learning to maximize your strengths and build yourself as a teacher. • Practice effective communication techniques and mindfulness, as well as experience creative management tools.

  13. Language skills The training has been held in English and the participants had the possibility to practice and improve their language knowledge, as well as job related vocabulary.

  14. Mobilities 3&4Europe between mythology, modernity, multiculturalism Haido Kallitsaki Vasiliki Georgoulaki

  15. Course Objective By using methodological tools as the mythological, iconographic, artistic and literary interpretation of the Myth of Europe, the mobility intended to highlight the role of migration in Europe from antiquity until today. The city of Paris was presented studying works of famous French writers, visiting museums and other historical sites. Innovative and interdisciplinary approaches were given linking lectures with non formal activities, in order to stimulate participation and creativity in the learning process. An e book was created with all the products of the course.

  16. Activities /tasks carried out Organizers provided a detailed program and useful information about the preparation of the course, his development, his documentation. Participants contributed to the developing of the training with their culture and background in order to ensure a continuous comparison between them, exchanging their cultures, visions, knowledge and interests. An active participation was shown in order to ensure a good developing of the training. During the training participants always interacted with trainers and professors. After the training, all the participants had some tasks related to the creation of a common final products and some new ideas for future European Project. Time was dedicated to realized new European project.

  17. Job related skills The course had theoretic meetings, visits, seminaries and practical activities. This method leads to a realization of a formative path overall thanks to the participants that appreciated the didactic value of a new learning method, deeply transversal in his approach, focused on the cultural interaction, and also trains to the documentary production and creativity tools, to promote the creation of strong links between people and territory. Activities related to the recognition and preservation of diversity and its various forms of expression, promoted better mutual understanding between cultures and peoples.

  18. Language skills Use of English, French and Italian language during all the week. In some activities it was asked to the participants to use their own language and then translate. Sharing and getting close to the different languages is very important in a diverse group.

Tools for inclusion and understanding of different cultures • Organizational/managerial skills: Cross competences to develop educational and pedagogical programs with different subjects and themes, crossing different disciplines and sectors. Competences related to developing of European net and project, promotion and creation of learning partnership between schools, companies and the civil society; Interpersonal, intercultural and social competences. Organizational competences through the exploitation of non-formal activities, overall to touch sensible topics like multiculturalism, diversity, special needs.

  23. Course Objective The mobility aim was to develop awareness of positive effects of learning games and Internet resources in education and to equip participants with practical ideas in order to enhance their student's motivation by using interactive methods and WEB 2.0 tools in their teaching.

Activities /tasks carried out During the training event, the participant: - fully attended the working sessions; six hours per day - developed interactive methods of teaching - used WEB 2.0 tools for teachers - solved specific tasks connected to educational games and activities meant to improve learners’ motivation - took part in interactive activities, debates, workshops and multi-national group activities. - provided own educational games which were tried out by the other participants. - created new educational games according to the subject teach and the knowledge they acquired. - was actively engaged in performing the tasks. - used and improved digital skills during the Internet Resources Modules. - worked in a multinational and multicultural environment
