  16. Indiana University Resources available on the IU-Bloomington campus • University Information Technology Services • UITS offers remote sensing support on a case by case basis. • Example: In 2005 UITS created and supported ArcIMS/ArcSDE services for the U.S. Forest Service. • UITS has been focusing on archiving the 2005 Orthophotography Project Datasets and providing ArcSDE and ArcIMS services for this data. • The website http://gis.iu.edu describes the Indiana Spatial Data Portal (ISDP) and Indiana Spatial Data Services (ISDS). • UITS has provided some local, county, state, and federal groups database connections to ISDS ArcSDE services. • UITS also stores some local datasets on our massive data storage system (MDSS). • UITS prefers archiving high quality data such as 2 ft contours that are available to the general public for download. • UITS staff routinely provides technical support to users downloading data from the ISDP or using the ISDS.
