  10. Caffeine inhibits the action of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase and leads to an increase in cAMP Caffeine and Your Body An increase in cAMP could mean the up-regulation of the effects of adrenaline

Caffeine and Your Body Caffeine is an adenosine antagonist that blocks adenosine receptors –By blocking adenosine receptors caffeine decreases the promotion of sleep and increases the activity of neurotransmitters dopamine and glutamate   –Adenosine is a vasodilator and if blocked by caffeine; MAP and consequently heart rate will increase.
