Current Status of FT • FT engine reads out simple XML based rule files • Development of the configuration GUI via web has started and is usable • Connection to the Monitoring is done • Development of the reporting protocol to the monitoring has not started Lord Hess WP4 Workshop 10.12 – 13.12.2002

  3. Sensors • Sensors are provided by the monitoring system • FT is able to handle return values from metrics of type „integer“ Lord Hess WP4 Workshop 10.12 – 13.12.2002

  4. Actuators • There is no special API needed to plug in actuators • Perl-, PHP-, bash-, c-shell-scripts or normal executable binaries will work. • You can use all standard commands as an actuator, like „tar“ or „rm“ Lord Hess WP4 Workshop 10.12 – 13.12.2002

  5. Reporting to Monitoring • At this moment we are using the tail sensor from the monitoring to report actions taking. • We have decided to report not only actions, but also the results of the rule evaluated. Lord Hess WP4 Workshop 10.12 – 13.12.2002

  6. GUI • Web based GUI with access control and MYSQL • This GUI must have an interface to the Configuration Dababase (not done yet) • First Draft of an XSLT file for presenting the rules on the web is done, but is not very powerful Lord Hess WP4 Workshop 10.12 – 13.12.2002
