  4. Fairness - can refer to the starting point of an individual, everyone could begin his studying career without any limitation.

  5. Fairness - the same treatment goes through the whole course, regardless of the human race nationality and social classes

  6. How do they Understand Fairness?

  7. Fairness Every individual Has the same opportunity to enter school, and everyone has the right to receive education,

  8. Fairness the opportunity of receiving education should be equal; everyone owns the same chance to enter different educational department and get the same treatment in the process.

  11. This problem of slow development in education within almost five decades was also accompanied by the lower net enrolment rate in the Philippines from 91 percent in 1999 to 90 percent in 2006. Other Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia and Thailand had already achieved and had been maintaining almost 100 percent net enrolment rates, leaving the Philippines behind.

  12. Republic Act No. 9155 gives the framework of basic education in the Philippines and provides for compulsory elementary education and free high school education

Education as a process would imbue upon individual the proper ideals, attitudes, values and aspiration; acquire knowledge, habits and skills so essentials in the intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being so that he can achieve self-realization and contribute to the well-being of the group. As citizen of a particular country become better educated, they come to enjoy richer life characterized by economic and social prosperity (Aquino, 1974).

  16. Project BEAM an initiative of the Philippine Department of Education and receives support from the Australian government through the Australian Agency for International Development or AusAid. The goal of BEAM is to improve the quality of and access to basic education in Mindanao, particularly the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and thereby contribute to the attainment of peace and development in that war-torn region of the Philippines.
