Hotel Group • BASE CASE • Energy savings that matter – one hotel floor only. • 251 halogen globes a(40W) re replaced with Ecoglow LED globes (4.5W). • Average on time was taken to be 10 hours a day, 5 days per week, 2,600 hours per year. • The LED globe retrofit results in a total saving of over $42,000 over a 10 year period. • Benefits: • Payback inside 12 months • 88% energy and carbon reduction • Reduced maintenance costs • Lower carbon tax impost • Note: No labour replacement costs have been included in these energy saving calculations. • Assumptions: • $0.092 per kWh • 2,600 hours per year per globe • Carbon tax valued at $25/T • CO2 consumption = 0.95kg CO2p/kWh • Theoretical example – applications may vary.
