  3. Creepy Vocabulary • Hideous • Creature • Destroy • Evil • Scientist • Create • Lonely • Experiment

  4. Adjectives • Tell you which one, what kind, how many • That monster • The scary monster • The crowd of monsters • Positive • One: scary • Comparative • Two: scarier • Superlative • Three or more: scariest

  5. Elements of a story • It was a dark night, the stars were the only lights illuminating the streets. The cold nights were common in this part of London. (Setting) • He reached for his gun and pulled the trigger, a shot rang out, the monster was dead. (Turning point) • His fangs were pointed and sharp, like knives. (Character) • He sighed with relief, the nightmare was over, the town was safe. (Resolution) • Out of the shadows jumped a hideous monster, ready to attack (Conflict)

  6. Welcome Jedi, Monday 11/21 • Language Arts Please have the following out and ready: • Your writers • Your Star Wars character rough draft • Your notes page WARM-UP: Please read your rough draft out loud to someone at your table. Does you explanation make your argument clear?
