  1. Interesting Facts: 29 August 1533 The last king of the Inca Empire was killed on this date in 1533. The Inca Empire was one of the most impressive civilisations in the world 500-600 years ago covering much of South America’s Andes mountain range. The Spanish conquistadores took over their empire.   4. Sign Language Mrs Gillon will be introducing some new signs every week at the Business Meeting. The Nursery and our P1 classes often use sign language to communicate. Today we learned a few different signs. “Good Morning” “Hello/Goodbye”

  6. Safety Message Just a reminder for all pupils to be careful and considerate when using the cycle path/walkway from the school up to Thoms Street. Cyclists should avoid cycling up the path if there are lots of walkers, push chairs etc. to avoid accidents. Thank you.

  7. Well done to… Shannon, Elsie-Mae, Molly and Sophie for passing their Tap Dancing Exam.

  8. Well done to… Drew for completing Level 3 in Swimming. He will now go on to do Level 4. Drew says the higher the level, the harder it gets!

  9. Well done to… Mansie and Euan were speaking on behalf of the Orkney Children’s Theatre Club today. They start rehearsing a play on Thursday 1st September in the Pickaquoy Centre at 7pm. All welcome to come along.

  10. Well done to… Alannah who will be representing Orkney in a horse riding competition in Burgie, near Forres. It involves dressage, show jumping and cross country. Good luck Alannah!
