NCAA Clearinghouse • If you plan to play sports for a college once you graduate, you must register with the NCAA clearinghouse and make sure you meet the requirements for the Division you want to play for. • Division 1- 16 Course Requirement • 4 years of English • 3 years of Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher) • 2 years of natural/physical science (1 year of lab) • 1 year of additional English, mathematics or natural/physical science • 2 years of Social Science • 4 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language) • There is a sliding scale for your GPA and SAT or ACT test score. • Division 2- 16 Course Requirement • 3 years of English • 2 years of Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher) • 2 years of natural/physical science (1 year of lab) • 3 years of additional English, mathematics or natural/physical science • 2 years of Social Science • 4 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language) • Minimum GPA for Division 2 is a 2.00, min. SAT score is 820 or ACT sum score of 68. • NCAA Eligibility Center’s website: www.eligibilitycenter.org • When registering to take the ACT/SAT, use the NCAA Eligibility Center code: 9999 so NCAA can get your scores. • If you plan to play sports for a college once you graduate, you must register with the NCAA clearinghouse and make sure you meet the requirements for the Division you want to play for.
