  2. DANIEL 9 VISION OF 70 WEEKS A. Jeremiah’s Prophecy (Jer. 25:9-11; 29:10) Daniel’s Captivity (606 BC) until Darius (536 BC) = 70 yrs. First return under Zerubbabel (Ezra 1). B. Plain Confession of Sin (9:5-10; 1 John 1:9). I. DANIEL’S PRAYER (9:1-19) C. Acknowledge God’s Righteousness (9:11-14; 1 John 1:8, 10). D. Plea for Mercy (9:15-19; 1 John 2:1-2).

II. THE SEVENTY WEEKS (9:20-27) 5. “To seal up vision & prophesy” (Ax 3:18; Lk. 24:25-27). 6. “To anoint the Most Holy” (Heb. 1:8-9; 10:19-22).

II. THE SEVENTY WEEKS (9:20-27) 2. The anointed one comes in 7 wks & 62 wks (9:25). 3. After 62 weeks anointed one cut off (9:26) & people sent to destroy the city, desolations (9:26). 4. Firm covenant w/ many for 1 week (9:27; Mt. 26:28; 28:19; Heb. 8:8-13). 5. Midst of the week sacrifice stopped & abomination of desolation comes (9:27; Mt. 24:15); even unto full end (Mt. 21:43).
