  4. Peter was the “big” fisherman and Andrew was the “little” fisherman

  9. But … the 2 brothers were different:1. Peter roared like a fire cracker and exploded into colorswhile Andrew sizzled low with the consistency of a sparkler

  10. But … the 2 brothers were different:2. Peter was impetuouswhile Andrew was cautious

  11. But … the 2 brothers were different:3. Peter led in publicwhile Andrew followed faithfully

  12. But … the 2 brothers were different:4. Andrew didn’t …Follow emotionally after miracles…Jump daringly into a stormy sea Rashly cut off a man’s ear..

  13. But … Rather he was Solid, Prudent, and Balanced in his love for the Lord.

  15. II. His Conversion(Jn. 1:35-40)Andrew was asked a question … “What seek ye?”Andrew was the 1st Disciple to believe, along with John.

  16. The early church called him … Protoclete (1st to believe)1. To be the 1st takes courage2. Andrew wasn’t afraid to follow his convictionsThen…

  17. Peter, Philip, and Nathaniel quickly followed!

  18. Andrew responded to salvation immediately and also consecration immediately (Matt. 4:19-23)

  19. III. His Personal Work Andrew was a dedicated personal worker!He was so thrilled to meet the Messiah he couldn’t keep it to himself.

  25. 1. Andrew was known as Peter’s brother Mk. 3:18 / Acts 1:13 / Mk. 10:2 / Lk. 6:14

  26. 2. Andrew was humble and went quietly about his business of winning one by one

  27. 3. He died on an X cross because he was unworthy to die like Christ.

  28. Josephus said he lingered for 3 days trying to win people to Christ while on cross.

  29. We, like Andrew, must…1. Open our hearts to Jesus’ purpose.2. Reach out warmly… and3. Cultivate genuine friendships with others outside the Body of Christ

  30. Be an Andrew to your worlds of influence!!!
