  2. Tutankhamen • Was born in 1343 B.C.E. • Became Pharaoh in 1334 B.C.E. • Was nine years old when he became pharaoh • In 1334 B.C Tutankhamen married his half-sister

  3. Tutankhamen • 1325 B.C. King Tutankhamen died, he was 18 or 19 years old, the reason is still a mystery but they suspected that he was murdered and hit in the back of the head. • Tutankhamen is famous for his mysterious death and prominent tomb that was filled with valuable treasures that unveiled essential information about Egyptian history

Ramses II • Born in 1303B.C. • His parents were Queen Tuy and Sety I • His father, the king, died when he was 20 but did not get the throne until he was 24 years old • Reined for 67 years in the 19th dynasty • Know as Ramses the Great • Said that he had about 100 children with all of his wives • Was one of Egypt’s greatest warriors

  5. Ramses II • First king to sign a peace treat with his enemies, the Hittites • His empire extended from Syria to near the Fourth Cataract of the Nile • Once marched 20,ooo soldiers into Syria to defend his empire from the invading Hittites

  6. Cleopatra • Was born in 69 B.C. in Alexandria • Had four brothers and sisters • Was the last pharaoh before the Romans took over • Inherited the throne after her father died in 51 B.C.

  7. Cleopatra • Married Mark Anthony • Was a devoted leader • Was fluent in nine languages • Was the first woman Pharaoh • She died in 30 B.C. at the age of 39 • Committed suicide

  8. Conclusion These pharaohs are important because they fought many wars and made essential contributions. Queen Cleopatra proved that women can be great leaders, King Tutankhamen proved that young people can make great leaders, and Ramses II rained for one of the longest ruled in ancient Egyptian history.
