  2. The Medium Level 1 Uncompleted Description: You wake up in a room. You don’t know who are or how you got here, just that you must escape as quick as possible.

  4. Mission Briefing You wake up in a room. You don’t know who you are or how you got here, just that you must escape the room as quick as possible. You realize, as you look around, that you may need to make use of the items in the room to escape… Click here to continue

  5. Mission Instructions Your primary goal is to escape the room. To do so, you will be required to pick up items and use them. To pick up or examine an item, click on it in the game window. To use an item you’ve already picked up, click on it in your inventory. To stop using it, click ‘Deselect'. If you want to quit, pause, restart, reread these instructions, or take notes, press the pyramid icon next to the inventory. *Note: Be sure to deselect an item after using it. Failing to do so may result in inability to complete other mission challenges. Click here to continue

  6. Dave’s Room X Code is 6263 The box is duct taped shut… Wonder what’s inside? You inserted the key and turned it. You hear a click somewhere. It looks like part of a wire is missing… It’s an oddly-shaped metal hole in the wall… What is it for? The door won’t open… You picked up a piece of paper that says: Code is 6263 It’s some sort of security center. It’s not on. You moved aside the rug. You cut open the box. There is a key inside. You entered the code 3283. You hear a faint click somewhere. You pushed the safe open. A clock firmly screwed onto the wall… It’s not working. You picked up a pocketknife. You found a screwdriver in the safe. You removed the poster. There’s a computer screen behind it. You unscrew the switch cover to reveal a set of wires. It’s a security center. You need to enter a code. There’s nothing in the wastebasket. A computer game advertisement? It says: Traitors Gate. It’s a piece of paper that says: Code is 6263. You unscrew the clock. There is a red wire behind it. You pick up a small red wire. You picked up a key… is it for the door? Deselect Deselect Deselect Deselect Deselect Code is 6263

  9. The door opens. You step outside and hear the door close behind you. But all you see is darkness… why?

  10. You feel it’s safer in the room. You try to turn around, only to discover that you cannot move. Then you feel something move under your feet, then there’s nothing there…

  11. You feel your stomach lurch, and then you fall… Fall into the immeasurable depths below.

  12. You seem to have regained movement of your body, but you do not stop falling. You fall for what seems like hours, then you black out, faintly hearing the words, “The Medium is watching you.” as your mind fades away.

  13. How will this end? And questions from before: Who are you? How did you get here? To be continued… And what is the Medium?

Looking around, you see that the door is locked, but you still may be able to escape. You don’t know how, but you’ll have to find out--fast.

  16. Synopsis In The Medium, you had woken up in a room, not knowing who you were or how you got there. Using the items you had found in the room, you were able to escape. When you exited the room, however, you were paralyzed in the pitch black darkness, and then plunged down into the immeasurable depths below. Your mind faded away as you heard the words, “The Medium is watching you…” You now wake up on a bed, trapped in yet another room. Looking around, you see that the door is locked, but you still may be able to escape. How you will, you don’t know, but you’ll have to find out-- and fast.

  17. Instructions Your primary goal is to escape the room. To do so, you will need to make use of the items found within the room. Examine the room and click on objects to pick up, use, or examine them. If they are useful, they will be added to your inventory. Click the objects in your inventory to begin using them. To stop using the item, click the ‘X’ next to the object. If you want to quit, pause, reread these instructions, or take notes, press the puzzle icon next to the inventory.

  26. You enter the code… The door opens… Your thoughts suddenly begin to blur, except for one, clear memory…

  27. In your vision, you are lying on a bed surrounded by equipment. Two people on lab coats are standing nearby… One of them comes up to you and places a gas mask on your face…

  28. As you fall into a deep sleep, you hear one of them say, “Transfer the data… I think the new medium is working…” Then you are gone…

  32. Storyline You have now escaped two rooms just to discover yourself in another room. You wonder when this will all end, and how you can escape this room in particular. You realize that the door is locked, and that there seems to be no other way to escape. Furthermore, there aren’t any usable items in sight… Is it even possible to escape?

  33. How To Play Your objective is to escape the room. The only way to do this is by exploring the room and picking up objects by clicking them. To use an object you picked up, click its icon in the inventory. Click the ‘x’ next to it once you’re done using it.

  35. As soon as you exit the room, you are blinded by a bright light…

  36. When the brightness subsides, you realize you are in a hospital-like room, just as in your previous dream…

  37. Except this isn’t a dream. You are awake! It all comes back to you: You were kidnapped by an evil company who needed testers for their invention, a new medium that transferred data, such as a game, directly to the brain, rather than through a monitor. The rooms you had escaped were just illusions! But none of this matters as one of the many scientists in the room walks up to you…

  38. The next thing you know, you are trapped inside a cell, kidnapped and in a worse predicament than you had first realized…
