Liberation of Berlin • In April 1945 the Soviet Army took Berlin, just a few months later in 1945 British and American troops took possessions of their countries’ sectors.
Who, What • Who: Allied armies, racing north and east to word Germany from invasion beachhead in Normandy. • What: It was a counter attack.

Why • Why: Race to Berlin. During the final months of WWII Two Soviet Marshals to be the first to enter Berlin. • Hitler believed the alliance between France, Britain, And America in the western sector would not be strong enough that a major attack would break the alliance apart.
Significance • The Significance of this war is that the Allied troops defeated the Germans, the Germans lost 120,000 soldiers in deaths, and another 120,000 captured or prisoners to the allies.
Other • Massive Attack against primarily American forces. • Plan: Hitler planned to launch a massive attack using three armies on the allies which wound, and in his own mind destabilize their accord.
Sixth Panzer Army • The sixth Panzer army led the attack to capture Antwerp. Attack is usually known as the Ardennes offensive but because initial attack by Germans created the bulge.
