  2. Eric Arthur Blair… • Eric Arthur Blair, better known as George Orwell, (born 1903) was a writer, The Animal Farm being one of his books. • Born in India by English parents. Then moved to England with his mother Ida Blair, when he was 1.

  3. Schooling. • His father was at war when he was born and didn’t get back until Blair was 9 years old. His mother had raised him by herself that whole time. • From the age six to eight he attended an Anglican school through scholarship because his mother couldn’t afford it. Most of the schools he attended were through scholarship because his mother didn’t want him going to a comprehensive school.

  4. Writing career • Before becoming a writer he was a police officer and a school teacher. • Then began writing literary criticism, poetry and fiction.

  5. George Orwell’s books… < This was from one of Orwell's classic movies, “1984” made in 1956. this image was used as a prop in the movie to project an image of control from the totalitarian government. It was said that this image was burned into peoples minds and used as brain wash.
