Summary: Pre-Launch test, Comfort Digisystem Receiver DT10 • All test persons had used ALDs before • None of the test persons experienced noise or humming noises in the hearing aid • All test persons could hear more soft sounds than they were used to • All test persons wanted to keep the receiver

  17. 2. End-user test Sweden • 11 test persons • Different hearing aids (Oticon, ReSound, Widex, Phonak, Bernafon) • Varying hearing loss • Work and home environment • Ages from 22-60 years • 8 test persons experience better speech intelligibility immediately • 1/3 think that they hear almost too well, not too loud, but very very clear • 8 test persons experience a more natural sound than what they were used to using ALDs, no humming no drop-outs

  18. 3. Severe/profound hearing loss • 4 participants (Phonak, ReSound) • Severe hearing losses • Already users of ALDs • Rated: • Sound Quality • Speech intelligibility • Comfort

  19. 3. Severe/profound hearing loss Sound Quality • Scale 1-10, Lowest 7, Highest 8 • All of them rated DT10 better than their old system • Comments: • “No more interference with the surrounding” • “The sound is cleaner” • “Listening without effort”

  20. 3. Severe/profound hearing loss Speech intelligibility • Scale 1-10, Lowest7, Highest 10 • Comments: • “The sound is softer than usually, but much clearer” • “Better speech intelligibility” • “More relaxed listening situations”

  21. 3. Severe/profound hearing loss Comfort • Scale 1-10, Lowest 7, Highest 10 • Comments: • “Battery life is not affected so much” • “The hearing aid is bigger but after a day not noticeable” • “Difficult to wear with hearing protection”

  22. Summary Could we make any common summery for tests with DT10? • The users experience good speech intelligibility, could follow conversations more relaxed in different sound environment • The users commented especially on good sound quality • There was very few or no drop outs • The users were used to ALDs and comment that the sound is more natural in DT10 than what they were used to. • DT10 seems to work in a good way with all manufacturers’ hearing aids • The degree of hearing loss does not seem to influence the satisfaction with the sound quality and speech intelligibility • Users commented about the size of the hearing aid with audio shoe and DT10, but in the end they chose the DT10
