  3. Our aim is to improve learning and increase employment opportunities whilst raising aspirations for young peoplethrough our unique work experience and industry-led skills programmes. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk

  4. Using the river tees as a connecting theme, we bring together industry and education to increase awareness of port-related industries and the many career options available to local young people. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk

  5. Our Programmes.

  6. EDUCATING THE EDUCATORS.FOR SCHOOL TEACHERSA brand new programmedevised by High Tide to support and educate teachers from around the region. For one day each week, teachers from different schools on Teesside will be invited along to attend a river trip including meeting the Harbour Master, understanding river management, insight into the ASDA distributions centre and overview of import/export logistics. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk

  7. SUMMER SCHEME.The Summer Scheme offers 16-17 year olds a two-week work experience placement over the summer holidays. Students will spend time with two different employers in and around Teesport, where they will learn invaluable business skills. We can also offer limited placements on working container ships travelling to European ports, subject to availability. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk

CADETSHIP PROGRAMME.A six-week, after-school programmedesigned to introduce young people between the ages of 12 and 14 to the world of work, with a particular focus on Teesport and its role in the wider industrial community. This programmegives participating students theunderstanding of the global supply chain and explores the vast amount of career opportunities within this industry.Separate Cadetships Programmes are ran across Redcar, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton and surrounding areas. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk

  9. PORT TO PORT VISIT.We ran this programme for the first time in October 2014, anddue to its success, we have decided to make it a permanentscheme. The port to port visit is a unique and life changing opportunity. Students from around the region will visit companies in Teesport before taking part in a trip to a European port to learn about operations and industrial links between the ports. This two day trip consists of site visits, company presentations and rivertrips. www.hightidefoundation.co.uk
