  39. 6 Guessing work • The teacher shows a card very quickly and have the students guess what it is by using “is it a …” it can also be played by showing only part of a card, for example covered the card with a piece of paper and showing it bit by bit until someone guesses it rightly • This game can be used to review vocabulary or short phrases, etc. WHP-ETT

  40. 7 Rock/paper/scissors • Invite your students work in pairs/each pair prepares a pile of word cards/have the cards facing down/students play “rock,paper,scissors” to decide who is to go first to take up a card and say it out loudly/if it is rightly said the student wins a point and he or she can keep the cards/the pupil who has the most cards in the hand is the winner WHP-ETT
