  2. Le conditionnel: • The conditional is used to describe what people WOULD DO or what WOULD HAPPEN if certain conditions were to be met. • La racine régulière du conditionnel est la forme infinitive du verbe. • par exemple : • parler (inf.) = parler (racine) • Same as the futur simple!!!

  3. Les conditions: • For the conditional to be used, a stated or implied condition must exist. • Si j’étais riche… • J’achèteraisunevoiture de sport. • J’aurais des amispuissants. • etc. • Here is an example of an implied condition: • Qu’est-cequetuvoudrais manger ? • Je voudrais manger des escargots ?

  4. Les terminaisons: • Pour faire le conditionnel, on utilise les mêmesterminaisonsquel’imparfait. • je parlerais • tu parlerais • il/elle/on parlerait • nous parlerions • vous parleriez • ils/elles parleraient

  5. Les irreguliers: • Pouvez-vousdeviner les formesirregulières des verbessuivantes ? • avoir = • j’aurais • être = • je serais • aller = • j’irais

  6. Les irreguliers: • devoir = • je devrais • pouvoir = • je pourrais • vouloir = • je voudrais • voir = • je verrais • faire = • je ferais • venir = • je viendrais
