  3. I could go to LondonI could go to LondonI could go to LondonI could go to LondonI could go to London I could go to London So, why should anyone come to Northern Ireland? Our economy relies heavily on Tourism. How could you encourage young people to visit NI?

  4. The task • You will create an event for young people which will be held somewhere in Northern Ireland • You will devise a marketing strategy for the event and present this as your competition entry

  6. What to include in your entry A PowerPoint explaining your idea with :- • Timings • Ticket prices, accommodation (if needed) • Promotional material - posters, flyers, tickets, radio/tv ads, social network campaigns, virals etc. • Electronic copies only to be submitted, no need to print please

  7. Competition Rules • Work in groups of NO MORE THAN 3 • PowerPoints can be up to 20 slides long • All material should be produced electronically, please don’t waste paper by printing everything out • 2 groups from each form class will go forward to the final

  8. The deadline for the competition is Friday 19th June 2015. Judging will take place on Tuesday 23rd June. • Prizes • Winners will be selected from the finalists (2 groups from each form class) • First prize group wins £50 amazon voucher* • Runners up – 2 groups win £25 amazon vouchers* *voucher prize is total awarded PER GROUP

  9. What to do now • Get into groups (up to 3 people) • Give everyone a role • Come up with an idea • Outline your plan • Give everyone tasks • Make your PowerPoint

  10. You will have 2 weeks to work on your ideas • You can work on your ideas outside school • All entries must be submitted electronically by email or on a memory stick • You can include videos, posters etc. in your PowerPoint

  11. Information on how to do PowerPoint is in available on the Careers section of the school website (Enterprise education section) and through ‘Shared’ documents (Y10 Enterprise competition)
