As and “essential trace element "zinc has a substantial biological importance for plants and animals • Zinc is responsible for a number of different functions in the human body and it helps simulate the activity of over a 100 enzymes. • Zinc is important for a healthy immune system, properly synthesizing DNA, promoting healthy growth during childhood, and healing wounds.   3. Zinc comes from the Earths crust where it occurs naturally • It can also be mined in countries such as Europe, China, Australia, Peru and Canada • Zinc is found in in volcanic hosted sulphide deposits and Carbonate hosted deposits. What are sources?
