  3. The WHO introduced Zinc deficiency as one of the 10 major factors contributing to disease in developing countries.

  4. Function(1) -precense in more than 300 enzymes -components of different proteins -stablization of nucleic acids structures -cell wall structure integrity of subcellular organelles -immune function

  5. Function(2) -osteoblastic activity -formation of bone enzymes -calcification -growth & development expression of genetic information -transcription -replication -wound healing -sexual maturation
