  3. We are having a holiday party on December 14! We have a weekly bulletin for announcements. There are 18 instructional days in November – What great lessons are you planning? Core Team meets again on Halloween – Did you look at the dress code and provide feedback? Did you hear?

  4. Can the issue be resolved by committee? SDM Did you talk with a building administrator? Is there someone at the district level? Example Director of HPER or Special Education Do you need to make an appointment with the Superintendent? Chain of command and SDM

  6. Pre-assessments have been administered. Some teachers were able to use historical data. Thank you for supporting our students during the testing! Trading and scoring is almost complete – return tests to the safe. SLOs are due November 9 and will be approved by administrators: Please print your Excel data sheet and SLO worksheet. SLO Update

Teachers must participate in a detailed training on each of the instructional shifts. • Network Teams began meeting in 2011-12 • ELA and Math will continue to align curriculum this year • ELA and Math teachers implemented a Common Core unit in 2011-12. How effective were those units? How do we know? • Principals will use the shifts as a lens to evaluate Teacher effectiveness. • The shifts will be used as a lens to evaluate principals. Key Components: Implementing the Common Core

Implementing Data Driven Instruction Common Assessments at each grade level Transparent Starting Point for Teachers Immediate Turnaround of Interim Results: ELA and Math will have results from eDoctrina Deep, Concept by Concept Assessment-in-Hand Data Analysis Teacher Action Plans/Revised Lesson Plans built on Data Analysis Principals Facilitate Effective Data Analysis Meetings: Departments will review quarterly data Principals Hold Teachers Accountable for Changes in Practice What is the Work?

  13. How many schools are engaged in real-time, assessment in hand analysis of student work? What percentage of teachers have real time data regarding which standards their students have and have not met? What percentage of teachers are designing lessons based on which standards their students have mastered and which they have not? What percentage of teachers are able to and asked to be reflective about their practice based on their students’ misconceptions? Their precise skill and knowledge gap? Are assessments aligned with the Common Core? Rank and Prioritize Needs at Core Team: What do we need to be successful in implementing the Common Core Shifts? Key questions: Implementing Data driven instruction
