In this week's Snappy Social Studies lesson, students will explore the city of Omaha through a map activity. Using Map B, they will answer questions regarding landmarks, parks, and attractions in complete sentences. Questions include identifying the zoo's location, the direction of Elmwood Park, and how far it is from Benson Park. Students will also reflect on the importance of parks in their communities. This exercise fosters map-reading skills and encourages a deeper understanding of local geography.
