  2. QUE ES LA MANINGITIS Es la inflamación de las meninges. Las meninges son unas membranas que cubren el sistema nervioso central, es decir el cerebro y la médula espinal. INTERVENCIONES DE ENFERMERÍA. ETIOLOGIA - El niño debe estar en una habitación tranquilo. - Vigilar el nivel de conciencia y signos neurológicos. - Mantener el equilibrio hidroelectrolítico. - Vigilar la temperatura y ctes vitales del niño (TA, FC.) y monitorizar en caso necesario. - Educar y aconsejar a los padres ante la posibilidad de la aparición de secuelas. • Virus. • Hongos . • - Bacterias SINTOMAS. • Hipertermia. • Fotofobia. • Cuello rígido. • Cefalea. • - Letargia. • Nauseas. • Convulsiones. • Irritabilidad.
