  2. Changes – What? • Form is converted from Word to Excel • Streamlined to essential information • Added drop down menus • A snapshot of that quarter alone

  3. Why the Changes? • To aid in calculating the data • To streamline the reporting of the data • To accurately report student activity

  4. Spreadsheet – New Look

  5. Quarter 1 • Only those students that were in your class from 1 Apr – 30 June should be listed in Qtr 1

  6. Quarter 2 • Copy Qtr 1 information to the Qtr 2 worksheet • Delete all entries that have been completed or have left • Add all the new students that registered in your class from 1 Jul – 30 Sep

  7. Quarter 3 • Copy Qtr 2 to the Qtr 3 worksheet • Delete all entries that have been completed or have left • Add all the new students that registered in your class from 1 Oct – 31 Dec

  8. Quarter 4 • Copy Qtr 3 to the Qtr 4 worksheet • Delete all entries that have been completed or have left • Add all the new students that registered in your class from 1 Jan – 31 Mar

  9. Adding information • COLUMN 1 – Name • Add the name of your new student. It does not have to be in any particular order. You have the ability to sort • COLUMN 2 – FPS • Enter the FPS number of your new student • COLUMN 3 – Class start grade levels (Math/English) • If you have no other info, the start levels are from the Intake Assessment. • If a student has completed a level (e.g. ABE 2), the class start grade level will be 5.0 • COLUMN 4 – Date Start • Enter the date the student started the course/class

Adding Information cont… • COLUMN 5 – Native Y/N • Drop down menu, choose yes or no • COLUMN 6 – Class Assigned • Drop down menu, choose the class assigned • COLUMN 7 – List Course by Name • List the course name • If it is a FVDES math course it should read as follows: • Math Essentials –Math Ess 11 • Principles of Math – Princ Math 11

Adding information cont… • COLUMN 8 – Date Stop • Insert the date the student finished the course/level/subj or left the class • COLUMN 9 – Class Leaving Grade Levels • If the student has completed a level, e.g. ABE 2 Math, it will read Math – 8.0 • COLUMN 10 – Course Completion • Drop down menu. If the student has finished a course, choose yes; if not, choose no.

  12. Adding Information cont…. • COLUMN 11 – Status of COURSE • Drop down menu • COLUMN 12 – Level Completion • Drop down menu. If the student has finished a level choose yes, if not choose no. • COLUMN 13 – Comments • Any comments that may explain the previous columns, or information you may want to keep track of
