  5. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY RESOURCES Primary An original informational source from the time of the event. Secondary An informational source that analyzes the event. These sources often use several primary sources to compile the information.

  19. PROQUEST DESCRIPTIONS • Proquest Research Library provides access to 4,000 reference works, with almost 2,800 in full-text. These reference works include scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, and newspapers. This database can be searched by topic. Some of these topics relevant to criminal justice are law enforcement, criminology, capital punishment, justice, evidence, prisons, and national security. • National Newspaper Abstracts: Includes The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and USA Today. Most of the articles in the database are available in full-text. Like Custom Newspapers, this database is an excellent source for current information on criminal justice topics
