  3. Alignment of Learning Outcomes Library faculty provide students access to quality educational opportunities in a student centered environment by: 1. Using a variety of teaching methods, including experiential learning, group work, active learning and problem centered learning, to reach students. Preparing students for lifelong learning by teaching skills which help them to know where to look for the best information and how to evaluate what they find. Pre and Post test data show: Spring semester students demonstrated a higher level of information literacy skills preparedness than students in the Fall semester. 172 students participated in the Composition I pre and post tests. Students showed an average of 10.4% improvement after instruction. Average post test score was 81% e) Blackboard students scored an average of 88% on a similar information literacy test for Composition I. f) Bibliographic review of Works Cited indicates an average of 45% out of 100% of periodical resources and 55% of 100% of Internet sources cited were authoritative. 3. Comparison to Oklahoma Regional institution norms is anecdotal, indicating that students have difficulty with the same concepts indicated by testing at Cameron. Comparison to national norms is not available. Cameron participated in standardized test program called Sails. Library faculty will be analyzing and comparing outcomes from that test with local testing. Program Quality Improvement Report 2007-2008
