PHENIX Central Spectrometer Upgrade high pt resolution in the West arm and electron ID in both arms with Tracking/TRD • Increases pt resolution in West Arm by 5X at 40 GeV/c • Increases electron ID capability 100X for pt > 3 GeV/c • Enhances EMCal e/hadron rejection with better E-p match • Combine TRD, RICH and EMCal for particle ID coverage upto 12 GeV/c
