Influence of turmeric (Curcuma longa) tea on the growth and cocoon characters

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) tea in various concentrations was tested on a promising Philippine silkworm (Bombyx mori) hybrid, DMMMSU 346, and was reared during dry, wet, and cool seasons to determine its influence on the growth and cocoon characters. The effects of the different concentrations of turmeric tea and rearing seasons were measured in terms of larval growth parameters; and cocoon and post-cocoon characteristics. Disease incidences at the larval stage as well as silk reliability were also evaluated. The study was carried out using a two-factor experiment in a Completely Randomized

Nutrient limitations of the edible sprouts: A review

In recent times people are quite aware of health and nutrition. Both fibers and proteins play an effective role in human nutrition. Even though animal meat contains more protein than plant protein, it is devoid of fibersu2019. However, plant sources found to be contain both protein and fibers in high amounts. The seeds are good reservoirs for rich proteins and fibers, especially during sprouting. During the germination process seeds release light proteins along with various vitamins i.e Vit. A, B complex vitamins, C u2013 vitamin, E- vitamin and K- vitamin and minerals i.e Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe, Se

Green synthesis and characterization of magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles using

Iron oxide nanoparticles, notably magnetite (Fe3O4), have become widely used and a key topic of research due to their superparamagnetism and distinctive features. As a result, scientists are diligently looking into new uses for these nanoparticles. The choice and use of synthesis techniques are important variables that might affect the size and characteristics of the nanoparticles (NPs). The use of harmful compounds that are absorbed on the surface of the nanoparticles has been linked to a number of negative impacts of chemical production processes.

Antibiotic Resistance and Integron Prevalence among Multidrug-Resistant Bacteria

Antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains are widespread in hospitals and intensive care units. This poses a serious threat to human health as the effectiveness of many antibiotics has been diminished by the emergence of resistant strains. The overuse of u03b2-lactam antibiotics has led to the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, including Extended-Spectrum u03b2-Lactamase (ESBL) producing strains. However, ESBL screening is not commonly performed in Bangladesh, despite the growing prevalence of antibiotic resistance. Multidrug-resistant strains, particularly those carrying the Integron integrase

Analysis of agricultural land carrying capacity and food availability using

An imbalance between the carrying capacity of land and the availability of water and food will have a negative impact and may even result in an environmental disaster if the carrying capacity of the environment is exceeded. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the carrying capacity of agricultural land by measuring food availability using a grid system as input for policies, plans and programs as the basis for preparing sustainable development planning documents. The carrying capacity of agricultural land in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency in 2021 is 76,739.07 ha,
