Our History Alpha Beta Gamma • Alpha Beta Gamma® is an International Business Honor Society • Established in 1970 to recognize and encourage scholarship among • two-year college students in business curricula • Provides leadership opportunities, forums for the exchange of ideas and the stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence • Over 65,500 Students nationwide initiated in the Society • Member of Association of College Honor Societies • Affiliate member of: • American Association of Community Colleges • The Association of Canadian Community Colleges

Membership Benefits Alpha Beta Gamma • Initial Membership Benefits: • Recognition of individual academic achievement on transcript • Improve probability in getting into four-year colleges and universities • Leadership opportunities through chapter officer positions • Networking with other business students and business leaders • Exchange of intellectual ideas at chapter functions & national leadership conference • Permanent Membership Includes all the above PLUS: • Name listed on the National Dean’s List • Distinctive Membership Diplomas • Use of Alpha Beta Gamma Resume Forms • Travel discounts at Choice, Quality & Clarion Hotels • Car rental discounts at Alamo • Opportunity to write for The Honors Journal, the official newsletter of the society • Graduation stoles, tassels and membership keys

Membership Requirements Alpha Beta Gamma • Initial Membership • Enroll in a business curriculum program • Demonstrate academic excellence by maintaining a 3.0 GPA • Complete 8 academic credit hours by the end of semester • Complete 10 hours of community service • Pay $20 membership fee (per semester) • Permanent Membership: • All of the above requirements PLUS: • Become a member of the Zeta Beta Chapter for one semester • Complete 15 academic credit hours by the end of the semester • Complete 10 hours of community service • Pay $20 membership fee • Attend the induction ceremony to become an official life-time member
