  2. Foundation Mission Statement To enable Rotarians to advance World understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

  4. At the end of Rotary year, Annual Fund SHARE are contributions split: 50% to the World Fund 50% credited to district’s DDF Annual Fund Contributions

  5. The Trustees determine the spendable earnings. Contributions designated to Permanent Fund-SHARE, the spendable earnings are split: 50% to the World Fund 50% credited to district’s DDF Permanent Fund Earnings

  6. District Designated Funds 50% of contributions 3 years prior Rollover and Transfers DDF Up to 50% Global Grants PolioPlus Donations District Grants Unused DDF rolls over to next year Transfer to another district Rotary Peace Centers Donations

  7. District 5300 DDF in 2014/2015 • Two $30,000 Global Grant Rotary Scholars • $100,000 in Global Grants • $75,000 in District Grants • Two $5,000 District Grant Rotary Scholars • Polio Plus support

  8. 2014/2015 District Grants • $75,000 Available. • Club must be qualified. Two rounds of applications: • Allocated to clubs based on prior giving. • $1,000 per club for remaining amount.

  9. 2014/2015 District Grants • Reimbursement of club expense. • Requirements: • Must be new or expanded projects • “Hands on” projects only • Can be local or international • Must comply with Rotary Terms & Conditions • Clubs can collaberate

  10. 2014/2015 District Grants • Apply on dacdb by September 15, 2014 • Second round starts after first round processed. • Make sure you can document your expenditures. • Contact Raghada Khoury for information.

  21. Global Grants • Six areas of focus only • Must be sustainable, measurable, and meet community needs • Must identify a qualified international partner early • Collaboration between District 5300 Clubs is strongly encouraged. • Minimum project budget of $30,000

  23. 2014/2015 Global Grants • $100,000 Available for District 5300 Match • $10,000 available per project • District 5300 will match club contributions 1 to 1. • TRF will match District contribution 1 to 1 and club contribution ½ to 1. • TRF contribution of $15,000 to $200,000 • Rene Fruto is the Global Grants chair
