This is a lightweight video camera; inexpensive and operates with only a few buttons • It has a BUILT-IN USB port to hook directly to your computer and transfer the videos clips to your computer • It has built in software—no disc needed • Be aware that other companies make mini-type camera devices but these are not Flip brand-name video cameras with no USB port or no easy software

First Model: The Mino - it is very thin & the buttons on it work just like an IPOD • The Mino charges on the computer and you can purchase one with 60 min or 120 minutes of space • You can also get an HD model for high definition video • The Mino comes in black, silver or white • OR you can pay $20 online to the main Flip video company PureTechnologies.com and get it ‘skinned’ any pattern/color you design or one of theirs • Drawback: Pure Technologies , the only company doing the skins,does not accept Purchase Orders at this time

Ultra and Ultra HD need batteries and come in 120 or 60 or 30 min models (less cost less minutes) • They can be lime green & white; hot pink & white; bright yellow & white, silver & white, or all white • You can get rechargeable battery pack 2nd Model: The Ultrathe Ultra is about 1 ½” thick and you have to depress the buttons completely

Not greatest quality video but suitable for most home videos and classroom ‘up close’ recordings – not ball games • They do record sound but not from afar • You can keep many separate files on your Flip and on your computer; it has great file system • Smaller than a digital still camera and thin and lightweight and you can take still photos out of the videos • Comes with a cable to hook to TV to show the video clips on TV; very convenient for teachers using them for class projects Points to Know

Low in Cost – so you don’t mind checking them out from class or library for projects (most schools by 5 and keep in tub and check out the tub for classes-each one barcoded under the battery cover if an Ultra/one the outside if Mino) • The built in software makes it easier for you to post to wikis or your webpages -YouTube or Facebook • Makes it easy to catalog and file clips on your computer or move back & forth • Comes with software to put clips together with text slides to make a quick movie • The FlipShare software is built-in and it transfers automatically to any computer you might plug the FLIP into - no more searching for the install discs • IMPORTANT RULE: WHEN YOU MAKE VIDEOS USING THE FLIP SOFTWARE THEY CAN ONLY BE VIEWED ON MACHINES THAT HAVE THAT SOFTWARE SO ALWAYS USE AN EXTRA STEP ON NEXT PAGE TO PRESERVE FILES YOU SHARE OR UPLOAD TO OTHER SOFTWARE Advantages

WHEN YOU MAKE VIDEOS USING THE FLIP SOFTWARE THEY CAN ONLY BE VIEWED ON MACHINES THAT HAVE THAT SOFTWARE SO ALWAYS USE AN EXTRA STEP TO EXPORT TO INTERNET FOUND AT BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN—GO TO ONLINE, THEN OTHER web sites, AND OTHER AGAIN • IT EXPORTS IT TO A FOLDER OF THE DATE AND MAKES IT INTO A WMV FILE FOR ANY WINDOWS CPU-THEN BURN THE DVD FROM THERE IMPORTANT CAVEAT
