What Is the ADDIE Process? • ADDIE is a model created and used by educators to better assist the teaching and learning process. • The Acronym stands for the process followed for evolving instructional design: • (5 Phases) Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate! • This process is used so that the educator can define and develop the needs of the learner. • This process is used to evaluate the educators ability to deliver and prepare their learners to perform all objectives effectively.

  3. Analyze • Phase 1: • Who is the audience, have their needs been met, have all objectives and goals been established? • These questions are asked in this phase and already identified at this point.

  4. Design • Phase 2: • Have all strategies been exhausted? • Apply strategies by Domain (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) to ensure that the lesson plan contains material that the learner can manipulate to meet all objectives.

  5. Develop • Phase 3: • All Resources are put together to create the final product.   6. Implement • Phase 4: • Facilitators are trained to deliver curriculum, how to test the students and make sure objectives are met. • Learners are prepared to manipulate tools, introduced to different strategies that will ease transition into new curriculum.

  7. Evaluate • Phase 5: (Consists of two) • Formative & Summative • This phase measures the quality and efficiency of the curriculum and delivery of the facilitator. • The learner has the opportunity to give feedback on curriculum and further implementation of objectives. Formative- occurs during all phases to help improve processes. Choral Trainer & The ADDIE • The enhanced ADDIE Process is used by this University to assist conductors during rehearsal and Music Research. • It emphasizes the Formative and Summative phases of the Evaluate Process to ensure and deliver the objectives are met my both facilitator and learner.   9. Building A Community & ADDIE • The ADDIE Model not only reformed the Education and Training Process but has helped build communities. • The Central Educational Center (CEC) was build by an organization that utilized this model successfully facilitating learning and employment.

  10. Evolution of the ADDIE • Instructional Design Models such as ADDIE were a result of much research and theory to develop and improve instruction. • The Five phases of this model continue to be the backdrop for improving curriculum that Educators can deliver and Learners can process.
