What is it and how does it work? Solar Power runs off the suns energy and light. It helps to reduce power bills, greenhouse gas emissions and it assists each household’s contribution to reducing climate change. Modern solar systems convert sunlight into electricity panels which are put on the roof. Many people are changing to this system because it is environmentally affective and it saves a lot of money.
Who invented it? The first Solar cell was created by Charles Fritts in 1880. In 1931 a German man called Bruno Lange (Dr Bruno Lange) developed a photo cell using silver selenide in place of copper oxide. Many years went on and many people created many new things.
Why is it important? Solar power is important because it saves a lot of money and it can also be very good for the environment.
