Solar power is a renewable energy source derived from the sun, utilized for heating, lighting, and electricity generation. Its advantages include zero carbon emissions and the ability to capture energy quickly with minimal controversy. However, challenges exist such as high material demand and production costs, particularly for solar cells made of silicon. If mass-produced, the accessibility and affordability of solar panels could improve. Solar technology, including photovoltaic cells, converts sunlight into electricity, and has been used since ancient times by cultures like the Greeks and Romans.

Source of the Alternative Fuel Solar Renewable energy comes either directly or indirectly from the sun. Sunlight, or Solar power, Is used for directly heating and lighting buildings, such as houses, office buildings etc. Its other use is also for generating electricity, and for hot water heating, solar cooling, and a variety of commercial and industrial uses.
A pro of this energy is that it is renewable. Everyday of the sun rising and shinning we are getting solar energy. http://discoverer.prod.sirs.com/ Pros Solar power does not give off carbon dioxide. With this the energy can be captured quickly With little to no controversy. http://go.galegroup.com
There is a high demand for the materials needed for the cells. This material is silicon. Along with this people will not buy solar panels or things like this because of the price. If this product was mass produced more people would buy because of the cheapness. Cons Some of the cons of solar power would be the cost to make the product trapping the heat. EX: the solar cells.
How it works This product works by solar cells; or Photovoltaic. These cells will transfer sunlight into electricity. These cells are made of silicon and have no moving parts. Although these cells are small they may group and wire many of them together by solar panels.
Extra -The solar collectors or solar panels are usually placed on the roof as to where they get the most sunlight at. - The power source is unlimited to its portability. There is no wires connecting to anything, no power lines, no lines to deliver the energy. -Ancient people of our time used solar power. Greeks, Romans, and the Anasazi of the southwestern United States found that if you point your house more to the south you can capture more of the suns heat in winter.
