Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you said, 'Aha!' against My sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was desolate, and against the house of Judah when they went into captivity, 4 indeed, therefore, I will deliver you as a possession to the men of the East, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings among you; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.

READ: DEUTERONOMY 8:19-20 19 If you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the LORD destroys before you, so you shall perish , because you would not be obedient to the voice of the LORD your God. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CITIES OF MOAB? READ: NUMBERS 21:28-29 28 For fire went out from Heshbon, A flame from the city of Sihon; It consumed Ar of Moab, The lords of the heights of the Arnon. READ: NUMBERS 32:37-38 37 The children of Reuben built Heshbon and Elealeh and Kirjathaim, 38 Nebo and Baal Meon (their names being changed) and Shibmah; and they gave other names to the cities which they built. The sword shall pursue you; 3 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim: 'Plundering and great destruction!' NKJV

READ: 2 KINGS 3:26-27 26 When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not. 27 Then he took his eldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering upon the wall; and there was great indignation against Israel. So they departed from him and returned to their own land. NKJV

The residue of My people shall plunder them, And the remnant of My people shall possess them." NKJV

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 25:12 PROCLAMATION AGAINST EDOM 12 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because of what Edom did against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them," WHO WAS EDOM? EDOM - (Idumea = red) - Esau'ssurname HOW DID ESAU GET HIS NAME EDOM? READ: GENESIS 25:29-30 29 Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. 30 Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary." Therefore his name was called Edom. NKJV

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 25:12 PROCLAMATION AGAINST EDOM 12 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because of what Edom did against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them," WHY PROCLAIM JUDGMENT ON EDOM? READ: JUDGES 11:17 17 Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, "Please let me pass through your land." But the king of Edom would not heed. And in like manner they sent to the king of Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel remained in Kadesh. NKJV

  42. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 25:12 WHAT DID EDOM DO? READ: NUMBERS 20:14-21 14 Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom. "Thus says your brother Israel: 'You know all the hardship that has befallen us, 15 how our fathers went down to Egypt, and we dwelt in Egypt a long time, and the Egyptians afflicted us and our fathers. 16 When we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice and sent the Angel and brought us up out of Egypt; now here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border. 17 Please let us pass through your country. We will not pass through fields or vineyards, nor will we drink water from wells; we will go along the King's Highway; we will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left until we have passed through your territory.'"

So Edom came out against them with many men and with a strong hand. 21 Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his territory; so Israel turned away from him. NKJV

  44. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 25:12 WHAT LANDS DID JUDAH POSSESS? READ: JOSHUA 15:1, 5, 12 1 This was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families: The border of Edom at the Wilderness of Zin southward was the extreme southern boundary. 5 The east border was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan. The border on the northern quarter began at the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan. 12 The west border was the coastline of the Great Sea. This is the boundary of the children of Judah all around according to their families. NKJV
