  4. GUARDIAN 1. One that guards, watches over, or protects. 2. One who is legally responsible for the care and management of the minor

  5. SOPHISTICATED 1. To cause to become less natural, especially to make less naive and more worldly. 2. To make more complex; refine.

  6. CHARITY 1. Provision of help or relief to the poor.2. Something given to help the needy.

  7. MADRAS 1. A cotton cloth of fine texture, usually with a plaid, striped, or checked pattern.2. A silk, generally striped, cloth.

  8. ALOOFNESS 1: indifference by personal withdrawal; "emotional distance“ 2: a disposition to be distant and unsympathetic in manner
