November 18th Reading Sharing Feast • Comparing and contrasting characters and experiences within fiction books • Comparing and contrasting similar non-fiction texts • Describing the role of the author and illustrator and how they work together • Identifying reasons the author gives to support his/herself • Writing • Using a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces • Capitalizing the first word in a sentence • Capitalizing the word ‘I’ • Writing words phonetically • Spelling sight words correctly The annual Thanksgiving Sharing Feast is fast approaching. Please sign up for an item to donate on the Google Doc I shared with you earlier today. You can also sign up to work if you are available to help out that afternoon. The kids will wear adorable turkey hats graciously made by Devanie Howard, Jeremiah’s mother. We will practice and perform a turkey song, and then taste the wonderful food each class made together.
