Mass Insight Education and Research • Objectives of the District Diagnostic • To gather information about the District’s current status and to identify key strengths and areas of growth • To identify opportunities to improve performance by providing recommendations designed to promote organizational effectiveness and efficiency

Financial Management • Hire capable CFO and COO • Post StambaughNess audit on website along with 2018-2019 budget • Utilize more free resources for professional development ( see professional resource organizations) • Unlike most businesses and corporations, a clear annual budget has not been implemented for departments; this results in a lack of consistent planning and growth • Improve financial management for academic achievement and student stability

  8. Financial Management • End all bonuses to any school district employee • Need for transparency …Post all contracts for administrative positions, including salary and benefits; organization chart, fees and charges for use of facilities;

  9. Academic Achievement • Strive for reading and math proficiency by 4th grade • Stabilize workforce • Address lack of cohesive and integrated curriculum • Include growth and achievement measures

Student Stability • What about the children! • Expect a culture of excellence • Utilize Cougar Academy to attract students from charter schools • Offer direct instruction to assist with student success • Conduct home visits to determine needs of students • Implement Family / Student Resource Center • Maximize resources for student success

Student Stability • Change out of school suspensions to in school suspensions ( students fall behind when out of school) • Expand parent participation with Leader In Me programs • Focus on meeting the needs of all students; eliminate unsafe and distracting behaviors; have in-house alternative education programs • Examine how EL students are placed (there are violations)
