Finish Close Reading • We will be completing a close reading of the article “Conflicts in Africa--Introduction” By Anup Shah • Please use a Black Pen to Annotate • A Blue Pen to find patterns • A Red Pen to ask questions • You will be graded on how well you Close Read the text • How well you annotate • How well you Find Patterns • How well you Ask questions • When you are done Close Reading please pick up the questions to answer about the reading

  3. Discussion • With you table groups discuss • what you found interesting or surprising about the article • The connections you found • The questions you have • Essential Questions • Discuss your answers to the Essential Questions with your group

  4. Hotel Rwanda • This movie is rated PG 13 however, there are many violent and intense scenes. If you feel this movie will make you uncomfortable I do have alternative assignment for you to do.
