  11. Approximately 29% of licensed RTs in the country are AARC members More than 20 states have < 30% membership Only four states can say that their affiliate represents the majority (>50%) of the licensed RTs in the state) BOTTOM LINE…..

  12. To achieve 50% membership of the RTs in the country translates into approx. 64,000 Active members! EVERY state needs to make achieving at least 50% membership a top goal! In 2008, six states decreased their total Active membership total. Goal: Represent The MAJORITY of Licensed Therapists in the United States!

  13. Membership is not something that just takes care of itself. Each state affiliate must make membership a priority. Majority of RTs are more concerned about what’s going on locally then nationally. Affiliate Boards need to take an honest look at what they offer their members in regards to their state membership. Goal: Represent The MAJORITY of Licensed Therapists in the United States!

  19. More Education + More Advocacy + More Fun = MORE PARTICIPATION! MORE ACTIVITIES! MORE MEMBERS! (Oh….and more revenue!)

  20. Affiliates need to identify someone who will be their membership CHAMPION, not just a “chair”. This is essential! Give your membership champion the tools to do their job. Do something different to attract and retain members! Consider focusing on Education, Advocacy and Fun! Getting It Done…

  21. Thanks!!
