  1. The Detector Efficiency and Pad Mulitiplicity in Prototype Simulation (IV) R.Han 2010.06.21

  2. Outline • Reset Parameters in Polya Function Based on Cosmic Data • Reset Function of Induced Charge for Charge Division between two Pads • Transfer Digitization from Root Marco to MARLIN Based

  3. Polya Function • Motivation: Get the Charge Distribution from Simulation(only deposited energy in Simu) • At high fields, the avalanche distribution is described by a Polya function ? Average multiplication factor on the gap s K and bar(N) are the input for simulation. Get from data!

  4. Get Factor K and bar(N) from data Cosmic Data Small Chamber Trigger by Sci, Collected all the Pad’s signal Amplitude Vs Time (take point every 20ns, total have 2000points) Vmin >-0.002 as noise 7199 -> 3818 events Select the right avalanche range Get rid of background Baseline: The average of first 300 points And last 500 points the right avalanche range Average+-3sigma Vi=Vi-baseline

  5. Get Factor K and bar(N) from data The Collected Charge Distribution Cosmic Data, Small Chamber

  6. Simulation Vs Cosmic Data

  7. Simulation Vs Cosmic/Beam

  8. Charge Division For Pad Multiplicity S3 S2 1.0cm d S1 From « Induced Charge Distribution in Proportional Detectors » by E.Mathieson

  9. Charge Division

  10. Pad Multiplicity Vs Threshold S3 S2 1.0cm d S1 Simulation: d=0.09 Check Data : Do Cosmic test Check the Multi Defination at Data Check Simulation: The Input Function Definition of Pad…

  11. Transfer to Marlin • Run Mokka • events 1 GeV Muon for SDHCAL • Run Marlin • Add the induced charge to Marlin • Add the Pad Multi to Marlin • The Charge Division not yet…

  12. Next Step • Charge Division: do some cosmic test and analysis beam test data, • Learn run Pandroa and figure out to do something with it
